It took only a couple of minutes to upgrade CEP 3 on my mac and it works great.Īm I the only cynic who thinks that the speed of the upgrade means that cep was 64 bit all along and Nik simply neutered it? Nik Software did a great job getting the 64 bit plugin out so quickly after Nikon released 2.3.0. Not much of a problem if watch the files you are using.

I can use tiff files and open with to use SEP for now.

Anyway it is kind of nice to be back using NX2 and looking forward to an NX3 someday. I found it to be slower and not as intuitive as NX2 and CEP. It was fun learning something new and I guess it was nice to see how SEP and CEP worked with Photoshop. The main reason being that I didn't think I'd ever see NX2 improve in any way. It would be nice to see SEP come along next for NX2.Ī few months back I invested in CS5 and the NIk plugins. We see a lot of complaints here but when it goes good they should hear about that too. I was afraid that it was going to mess up NX2 or something, but it went really smooth. I had the 32 bit version installed and really wanted to see what the 64bit was like. Thanks for all the great directions on the install. It would have been nice to know this was in the works when CNX 2.3 was released. I only wish they were a bit more forthcoming about this. Hey! I've installed CNX 64 bit and lost CEP3. I agree look alike Nikon and Nik are in sync now. Installed with CNX2.3 on MacBookPro, running Lion OS X. I did a clean install of NX 64-bit and CEP 64-bit and all is well so far. I had originally installed the 32-bit to keep CEP working.

Yep, it's working! So glad to see CEP3 comes back into the adjust menu! Yay!īrilliant News and it is so quick. I just installed version 3.004 on my 64bit CNX2. I am good with NX+Nik+PM as they are for another 10 years now. Hopefully all this recent flurry of activity should silence those of little faith about the rumored death of Capture NX.

I'm hoping this means Nikon & Nik are starting to work together again. My 32-bit combo is running very well and no willing to mess with it so soon. I am going to sit this one out until more info is available. I have the same question - how to re-upgrade from 32 to 64-bit so that both programs are happy. Mark Allen, Belfast edited this topic ages ago. If you had that you probably should uninstall and then reinstall version 2.3 It only asked to install as 32 bit if you had a 32 bit copy of CEP installed Now how do I upgrade my NX 2.3.0 from 32 to 64 bit? Just seen, there is a new CEP version 3.0.0.4 with 64bit support.
